Welcome back!!!
I’m looking forward to this new school year. My goals include assisting our principal on her mission to improve our student’s performance by closing the achievement gap through a positive attitude, improving student attendance, and the implementation of data based instruction. I’m also excited about meeting Westview families through parental involvement opportunities such as PTSA, EESAC, ESOL Parent Seminars, and The Parent Academy Programs. See you there. Finally, it will be my pleasure to be the 8th grade Assistant Principal and seeing your children successfully navigate an important phase in their education.
Please remember, my office door is always open to parents and students.

Financial Obligations:
All financial obligations incurred, i.e., school fees, textbook loss or damage, club activities, overdue or lost library books must be paid in the school’s treasurer’s office.

Homework:
Homework is an essential
element in the academic growth of each student.
It provides the student with an opportunity to demonstrate the ability
to organize and follow through independently on assigned tasks. It affords the parent the chance to see the
way each child approaches school work and gives the parents insight into the
achievement, expectations, and perhaps, frustrations of the learner. Most homework is a continuation of activities
begun in class. Some type of homework is
assigned to students each day.
Student’s Responsibilities for Completing
Homework
1.
Complete
assigned homework as directed.
2.

Make-up Assignments:

excused (permissible) reason shall, upon return to school, request make-up
assignments. It should be remembered
that all class-work, due to the nature of instruction, is not readily subject
to make up work; for instance, the make-up assignments may be different if the
class participated in an oral discussion for a grade on that given day. A student who does not make up all
assignments will receive a lower grade than if he/she had been present in class
